About Pirate Ahoy! (intro)

Pirates Ahoy! is a treasure quest game created for Facebook by Playfish. You have a ship that you use to sail to different islands collecting treasure, coins, and other items.  Your friends are hired as your crew and you have an island home where you can build pirate related factories.

While you are sailing the oceans, you cross paths with monsters you must fight, sunken ships that need plundering, and scores of other quests to complete.  With mermaids, whales, and giant rubber ducks, this game is adventure on the high seas.

Sailing and General Tips

• Treasure maps leading to sunken ships with treasure are found in crates dropped by monsters.
• To fight a monster, click on it. When you kill it, a crate will appear in the ocean. Click on the crate to retrieve what is inside. It usually drops coins, food, gems, or treasure maps.
• If the monster defeats you, you can fight it again. Just click on the monster again to fight it. You will usually be victorious against the monsters, but every once in awhile, one of the monsters will defeat you.
• To see everything in the water, click the zoom out bottom (gold magnifying glass with “–“ in the middle). If you click on one of the icons, your ship will automatically navigate to that item. If you bump into something, though, you will have to move around it and click on it again in the zoom out mode.
• Periodically you will have to buy items to use to fight monsters or to search for treasure. Some of these items are hedge clippers, brush, camera, piratang.
• If you see any floating bottles with messages in them, click on them to receive missions.
• Every so often you will receive quests and missions. For some of these you will have to take pictures of things you see while sailing (Mermaids, whales, etc). For other quests and missions you will have to search items or click on things in the water. Zoom out to easily spot the items you need.
• To complete the Far Corners of the Sea badge, sail to the edge as far as you can go on all four sides making sure you sail to all four corners.
• Badges work automatically.  You do not have to wear it on your ship for it to work.

Making Money

• You receive money for visiting your friends who have a sack of money icon next to their picture. Visit those islands and you will receive a bonus of either coins, food, or gems.
• You can make money by buying a factory for your island. Check it periodically to claim the items or they will expire.
• More than one factory can be running at once on your island.
• You earn coins from quests and missions.
• Monsters sometimes drop money when they are killed.
• Your friends can send you money also. There is a quest that appears about once a day asking you to deliver a package to one of your friends. If your friends complete one of these quests, you will receive a notification. If you follow the link, you will receive coins.
• Check your friends' wall posts. Sometimes clicking links they have posted will earn you coins, xp, or other items.

Energy

Each square has an energy cost.

• Your crew’s energy bar is at the top center of the screen. It goes down as you fight monsters, complete quests, search for treasure, etc.
• As you get low on energy, you can use the food you have found to replenish the energy.
• The energy will renew itself slowly. It takes about 12 hours to reach full energy again.
• You can ask for picnic baskets which give you 50% of your health.  There is usually a basket icon on the left side of the screen you can click on to ask for picnic baskets.  Or you can click on the crew icon at the bottom of the screen.  Under the energy options available, you will see an icon to “Ask friends to send you picnic baskets.”  You must publish the link to your wall so that your friends can click on it.
  
• Your friends can also send you food daily.
• Your maximum energy increases by 10 with every crew member you gain. You gain crew members spots by leveling.
• You can hire crew members by picking up friends who have been lost at sea. When you are sailing, every now and then you will see a person floating in the water and yelling “Help!” If you click on the person, you will be able to hire them for coins.
• You can also hire friends by posting a link asking for help.
• Each task you do requires a different amount of energy points. Use the points wisely if you are getting low on energy.
• If you hover over a monster with the cursor you can see how many points of energy it takes to fight.
• You can also hover over each square of sunken ships to see how many points of energy it takes to search.
• The same thing applies to quests. Hover over the item to see how many points of energy you must use to complete the task.
• Some of the badges give you an energy boost of +10 and some will unlock an extra crew member space.  To view the badges, click on your ship to customize.  In the upper left section of the screen you will see your badges.  Click the green button to view your badges.  You can see what you need to complete the badges and earn the bonuses.

Leveling

• To increase levels, you must accrue points.
• You earn points by fighting monsters, searching for treasure, completing quests and missions, and by running your factory.
• You also earn points by collecting enough gems to complete the treasures you have found. Click on the treasure chest at the bottom of the screen to view the treasures you have found.
• Collecting items from your factories gives xp.  The more expensive the factory, the higher the xp you earn and the more money you make.

Use the soap to scrub your pet clean then visit some other friends and scrub them till they are clean then go to the cafe to look for other pats to clean. save your game and refresh the page then scrub again. keep repeating this till you are rich!

Food And Paw Points

First you have to buy lots of food worth 5 coins or less, then you feed your Friends (also you can feed yourself, cafe pets) who are hungry till they are full which everytime you feed them you earn 17 paw points.
Lets say i bought 99 apples worth 5 coins and then fed all 99 apples to my friends who are hungry i would gain 1683 paw points and spent 495 coins. Its worth a small price to pay. before you know it you will have 100,000 paw points in a short while.

1. Plant Watermelons

Your home island will feature two small plots of farmable land when you first begin the game -- you'll have a choice of four different fruit seeds to plant. You'll get the best return on your time by planting Watermelons. We've been finding that we play Treasure Isle in very short bursts, using up all of our energy hunting for treasures in one go, replenishing with any fruit we found, and then depleting our energy again.
Bear with us as we do a little rough math -- the energy cap starts off at 100 and increases only a little with each level. Since energy replenishes at 1 point every five minutes, it'll take just over eight hours to completely fill up again, which means in about eight hours, we can come back and have another short play session. And what do you know, Watermelons take eight hours to mature -- perfect.

2. Ask friends for missing items in your collections

This is crucial, moreso than in other Facebook games that you may play. In Mafia Wars, you can complete item collections by redo-ing the same tier of missions that grant those items until you finally complete the set. In Treasure Isle, you can't return to an island once you've dug/searched every grid -- this means that if you weren't lucky enough to complete the Hulu Outfit set on Guarded Shores, you won't be able to find those items yourself.

Luckily you can list up to six items at once in your Wish List and ask friends to send you any extras they may find on their treasure hunts. Complete collections yield a massive amount of gold coins, so they're well worth the time invested in tracking down each item.

3. Don't buy trees/plants or gems in the store

Unlike trees in Farmville, Treasure Isle's store-bought trees don't produce any goods, experience points or money. They're purely for decoration.

The trees that *are* important are the Gem trees that you'll find on your and your friends' islands. There is one per island, and the color gem that it bears is automatically decided for you when you first start playing Treasure Isle. Make sure you visit your friends' islands frequently to harvest gems, especially if theirs produces a different color gem than yours. You'll need an assortment of them to open gem gates later on in the game.

4. Buy tools as soon as you can

You'll find the Machete, Pickaxe, Dynamite and Bug Spray items in the 'Tools' section of the Store. While you're likely to be prompted to purchase each tool as you need them (Machete is needed to search for treasure in trees, for example), having them on hand boosts the chance that you'll find fruit or additional gold during the course of treasure hunting.

5. Get 100% on each island

This should be a no-brainer, but in the event that you end up finding all of the treasures on each island before actually searching each grid -- don't stop! You'll get a major experience/gold bonus for completing the island itself, not to mention those last spots may hide fruits and other gold stashes. Energy points replenish eventually, so you have nothing to really lose by digging on those last few spots.

6. Add friends early and often.

We're not huge proponents of spamming non-gaming friends with invites/gift requests but in this case, having an extra friend around may mean more than just a handful of additional coins each day. Since, as mentioned earlier, each friend will be assigned a Gem tree, you'll be dependent on them to provide you the necessary Gems to unlock certain areas of later islands (unless of course you want to shell out real currency to purchase Gem packs). And of course, there's also the added bonus of XP and coins just for visiting daily.

How to level up fast in Fishville – One FishVille strategy is to buy fish eggs that mature quickly so you can sell them sooner. To further increase you FishVille profits and maximize the number of FishVille coins and experience points you can earn, let your fish grow older before you sell them.

Select fish that fit your schedule – Some fish take longer to grow and others require more frequent feeding. If you’re not going to be available to play for awhile you may want to sell your high maintenance fish and buy some that don’t require as much time. In contrast, if you have more time on your hands to play FishVille then you can select fish that require more feeding/maintenance that may be more profitable.

Feed your fish frequently – Don’t forget that fish need to be fed within a certain amount of time depending on the species or they will die. If your fish dies, you lose the money you spent to buy it and the potential revenue you could have generated with its sale. Feeding your fish regularly causes them to grow faster and therefore increase your potential earnings.

Expand your FishVille empire – Buying more tanks and raising more fish increases your profits. As you’re able to earn more and more money, reinvest it purchasing more tanks every chance you get (Tank 2, Tank 3, Tank 4, etc.). Tanks are expensive but well worth it. Some are can’t be unlocked until you reach a certain level in the game and others cost a certain amount of FishVille sand dollars instead of coins.

Help and gift frequently to neighbors – As we alluded to before, it’s important to help your FishVille neighbors and send gifts to them often as everyone benefits. Don’t forget, you earn experience points for helping neighbors and you’re more likely to receive gifts from your neighbors when you give gifts to them.

Get a faster web browser – The most widely used web browser is still Internet Explorer which can be quite slow to load pages at times, especially on Facebook. We recommend that you try a much faster web browser like Opera or Google Chrome when playing Facebook games like FishVille.

Befriend correctly – There’s a proper way to invite Facebook users to become a friend and join your FishVille neighborhood. You should always include a message when inviting someone to become your friend, especially when the intent is for Facebook games only. Adding a simple message that says something like “FishVille add” or “FishVille” will suffice to inform the recipient of the reason for adding you as a friend. This also lets them know which Facebook friend list to add you to.

Become a fan of FishVille – Adding more FishVille neighbors is probably the most important part of the game but sometimes its difficult to find other players. One proven way to locate FishVille players is to become a fan of the many FishVille groups and fan pages on Facebook. Don’t forget, neighbors are required to unlock FishVille items and adding them earns you FishVille coins and experience points to help you reach new levels.

Earning coins

• -Working in the Sweets Factory is a new feature in Yoville. If you go in the Sweets Factory once a day, you get a bonus of between 80 and 100 coins. Baking cookies gives you the biggest profit margin if you can successfully bake and sell cookies 4 times a day.

• -The bigger your crew, the more your reward. Build up your crew to 50 to get the maximum reward each time you bake.

• -When you do your "coin runs" (the 20 friend visits you are allotted each day), use only the "Leave a Message" or "Give a gift" feature. These two options give you the biggest reward, between 15 and 20 coins per visit. The other options don't give you as many coins.

• -Play your allotted games each day. People in Yoville refer to this as "maxing you", because you are only allowed to win 20 games each day. Getting maxed each day gives you 200 additional coins.

• -Visit www.yoville.com. Many players don't know about this option. There are two ways to earn coins at yoville.com. You earn one water balloon every 10 minutes. You can throw a water balloon on your profile or on the profiles of your friends. You are rewarded with one bar of soap. You use this bar of soap to clean up one water balloon splat, which gives you 5 coins. You can splat and clean up without limit. The only thing you need to know is that you can only throw one balloon per visit on a profile. You must navigate away from that profile and then go back to clean up the splat.

• -The other way to earn coins at yoville.com is to do the visits that pop up. You earn 5 coins for turning on the lights and for finding a pot of gold. In addition to those visits, as you visit your friends' profiles, 10 additional pots of gold will show up on their profiles. Those are worth 5 coins, too!

You get experience points for baking, visiting friends, buying items, and playing games. These experience points will help you to level up. Each level up gives you a new feature to the game. Inside hint: You get 25 experience points for winning a fishing game, which is worth 2 1/2 friend visits!

Buying Yocash Items without Spending Money
-If you don't want to spend real money on yocash items, but you really want the item, look for it at the forums at www.yoville.com. There is a subdivision called "Trade". People will list items that they wish to trade. If you don't see the item you want, create your own thread requesting the item. Typical trade value for yocash is 1 yocash per 400 coins. You can barter here and there, but 1:400 is the typical ratio.

-You can also find items listed under events on your Yoville screen.

Trading Items
-Be careful who you trade with. There are "scammers" in the game who love to find someone to dupe. When trading, make sure that you don't check the "Done" box until both sides have posted the terms of the sale. In addition, hover your cursor over the item you are purchasing to make sure that the item is correct.

Cafe World Fast Serving Tips

To serve a lot faster, like in farmville, you need to block the way between counter and stove.
Move all the Stoves and Counters to the 2nd row from the left wall and then finish the customize, your waiter will appear behind the counters and stoves and the dishes will be auto served with the waiter just picking them up from the counters.

How to Refresh the Data on a Glitched Game Item ?
Do you have a game item that is being cranky? The most common glitched item is a stove that is in the habit of losing dishes before they can be served.

Below are directions on how to “refresh” a game item using the stove as an example. After a faulty game item has been refreshed, it should lose its glitchiness and behave again.

1) Place all your stoves into your inventory by dragging them to your furnishing window and then releasing your mouse button.
2) Click the checkmark to close the editor.
3) Place your stoves back into the cafe.

(If you do not see your stoves in inventory, close the application by clicking the “Home” button on Facebook, and then restart the application. You should see a +# on the stove image when you return to the furnishings page. Click the image and drag to your cafe to reposition your refreshed stoves.)

Closing Cafe World
I discovered that to close the cafe while the bigger portions are cooking, remove the door or you can put a chair against the door too. This will save your rating.

Are there differences in quality, serving number, or experience points for the different stoves and serving counters available in game ?
They are purely decorations and won’t make anything special. The differences are in cost for the item and appearance of the item only.

Why my waiters do not serve the customers ?
Leave a clear path to the table for the waiter to reach, he can not serve from behind a chair.
If that doesn’t help trying to fire the waiter and hire a different one.
Or you can try to rearranging and refreshing data on objects by dropping them into your inventory and bringing them out again almost always fixes problems with frozen waiters.

What is the max Buzz ? What is the Buzz for ?
The max Buzz is 105. The Buzz is same as Fame (or popularity in restaurant city), the higher it is the more customers will come to you meaning more money and CP since you will need to make more dishes.

Why customers are not going into my cafe and lower my Buzz ?
Those customers are unhappy because you have no room to sit in your cafe and unlike the happy customers that raise your Buzz the unhappy lower it.

- One satisfied customer = + 0.1 buzz
- customer cant sit down = - 0.5 buzz
- customer doesn’t get served = - 0.5 buzz
- customer sits on an empty plate = - 0.5 buzz

How many dishes does customers eat in a minute ?
Well It depend how many customer you have, In the maximum Buzz 105
they ate 13 serves a minute
so it’s 800 an hour
19200 for a day
so lets for 12 it will be 9600

Why my game is not getting saved ? Or is there any save button in Cafe World ?
You need to remember this is a Beta. Simply go to customize for abit and then refresh your window to see if it was saved.
Update : now there’s a saving button for cafe world

How do I make more money in Cafe World ?
- You make money by selling your dishes to customers that will come to your cafe.
- You make money by getting tips when your neightbors come and visit your cafe(not when you see them enter your cafe but when they click ‘Visit’
- You make money when you visit your neightbors by trying out their dish.

I made a big mistake, can I start over Cafe World ?
You can’t, unless you delete the app and then want to wait 60 days. If you do, after the 60 days you will need to install the app again and you have your new account.

How do I move stuff ? How do I turn them around ?
Click customize(chair icon) and then you can move anything you want.
Same way in customize but when you click the item you want to turn there are two arrows above it, simply click one of the arrows untill you reach the position you wanted.

How to change cafe name ?
Simply click on the cafe name in the top right corner of the screen (the yellow one)

How to sell back some items ?
- Choose the chair icon
- Click the item you would like to sell

FARMVILLE TOP TIPS!

Facebook's FarmVille is one of those online games that can be played in lots of different ways. Some people are just happy to amble along with a small, neat farm. Most of us are pretty competitive, though, and like to accumulate XP (experience points) quickly to zoom through those levels.

There is no perfect way to do this but there are lots of ways of improving your game play and reaching those higher levels- and all the new crops that they unlock- faster.

Top Tips for FarmVille

Get yourself some Neighbors.
This is one of the most important things to do. The FarmVille makers deliberately designed this online game to reward social gamers.

Persuade friends or strangers to start up around you and you get a lot of benefits. You can expand your business more easily and own more land. Also you can help out on neighbor's places and get more XP and coins.

If you go into the Facebook's forums, you often see gamers begging for neighbors and some even promise many gifts in return. Other gamers just get to a good level then ask for invites from people at similar levels. The better the levels of your neighbors, the better the gifts they send.

You can also get a Local Celebrity Ribbon for adding many neighbors which translates into a big reward. If you take pics of all your neighbors you can get a Shutterbug Ribbon.

Tractors and Fuel

I like my online games for free but anyone using a credit card gets definite advantages.

A tractor can be bought from the market just with coins. This will speed up plowing (plows 4 squares with one click)  but you get limilted free fuel every day. You can buy extra fuel with a credit card to get round this. If you buy an extra fuel tank it gives you 150 fuel but it won't fill up free on a daily basis. Once you have used all 150, you will need to buy again. You can also buy a seeder and a harvester which speed up seeding and harvesting but, again, you have the fuel issue to think about.

 

 

Mixed Harvests or just one Crop at a time?

For a real FarmVille pro, achieving the right balance of crops, trees and animals is the essence of the game. This is a matter of experimenting with the crops available at each level. This is one reason FarmVille is fiendishly addictive- different levels need different fixes. You will have to study the tables like the ones down the page.

One approach that will work pretty well at every level is the quick turnover of harvests described below. Instead of mixing crops that give XP with crops that give coins, you just alternate between the two. One day you grow crops that give good coins, another day crops that give good XP. Of course, if you are topping up your FV-money with a credit card you can just go for the XP every time.


Quick Turnover Harvests

The faster you keep the plow, sow and harvest cycle turning over, the more coins and XP points you will accumulate. Also, the better the shape that your farm is in, the better it performs. So get all the farm upgrades that you can then add extra fields up to the maximum allowed. Planting and harvesting quickly will soon bring in the rewards.

To get XP

Say you have 240 fields (easily achievable). If you sow the cheap, quick harvesting plants (see list below)- the ones that can be harvested in a day and yield 2 XP, your total XP increase for that day will be 720, since:

Each field gives 1 XP= 240

Each field harvested gives 2 XP= 480

Total= 720. A good haul.

If you want to use the higher yielding crops that take longer before harvesting, do a little math to make sure you get the same return. Often, you just don't. On the other hand, slow growing crops may be essential if you can only visit your farm occasionally. Remember that they spoil if you miss the harvesting window.

How to Keep the FarmVille-Money Coming

You need to buy the seeds, pay for plowing etc so remember to plant good coin producing crops as soon as funds run low. Always keep something for expenses!

The crops that deliver most coins per hour are listed in the table at the bottom of the page.

If you see “Super Berries” in the market these will harvest in 2 hours and you can sell for 100 coins. Super Berries are usually only around for a day or two though. The last time was when FarmVille reached 5 million visitors, Worth watching out for.

Also, visit your neighbors farms regularly. If you are lucky, a pop up will ask if you want to do some weeding or other job. Filling in surveys, as described below, is boring but gives a steady stream of FV-cash.

Hay bales and Ribbons

Rich and want to level quickly? Buy hay bales. They will give you 5 XP each. Buy as many as you have room for, delete and buy more.

Buying hay bales also gives you a Pack Rat Ribbon pretty quickly. You can also get an Architect blue ribbon (with the same reward) by buying rest rooms.

Best Yielding Trees and Animals

Focus on the animals that yield a lot like Horses, Goats, Ducks and Rabbits (50 coins each). The best trees are Pomegranate, Banana and Passion fruit tree's (100 coins each).
Ask for these as gifts and avoid all the low yielding animals and trees.

FarmVille Cash
FarmVille cash is different to coins. It is signified by the notes symbol next to the coins at the top of the screen. Every time you go up a level you are given one more unit of FV-cash. You can also buy FV-cash online.

This lets you keep in touch with your farm while you are doing something else on the net. It has an update function and a harvest countdown.There are also bonuses available and a surprising number of good things can come your way. How about a golden egg with 20 free fuel top-ups? That will speed up your farm!

The drawback is that only Firefox and Internet Explorer are supported.

This is another of those 'get to meet the neighbors' things and it can be fun. You need to coperate to get certain tasks done in a limited amount of time and then you can pick up your reward.

This is only available to a limited number of farmers right now but as the technical issues are fixed it will gradually roll out- so keep your eyes open. There are some nice bonuses in cash and decorations.

This happens thanks to the never-ending server list of city names, countries, capitals and bot players using them. With so many people on Facebook and Myspace, these mega socials sites that host this Zynga game make chips easily available by joining the page and activating the app in your networking homepage, starts you off with an average of 2,000 chips. This is okay, but most of the time after logging on and sitting at a table via the server, almost everyone has more than you.

Play the “Turn”, not the “River”

Play the turn card, or fourth card, if your hand sucks by this point, considering you already have three of kind, and cards are consecutive, get out of the hand. Someone has a straight in Zynga poker and will more than likely take your chips. By betting the river you have a 1 in 12 chance of scoring the card you need, unless it’s a flush, but for the most part just fold. In rare occurrences, if you have a flush with the first five cards makes sure you have the Ace in that suit, and let the betters bet, if you raise too early people will get the picture, and not give up anything. This is done to let the aggressor bet, while you just sit and then check ,  always call , then get that fake Zynga chip chip count rising.

 

Getting an Advantage by the Dealer Chip

The flops in Zynga Hold 'Em are totally kiddish. I've seen four of a kind aces so many times. Watch for people that change their seats every other hand. They feel by avoiding the dealer button and sitting down where they won’t have to pay after they've pushed the big blind that this gives them some sort of clever edge in taking the next pot. On second thought, just ignore these idiots. Most can't speak English anyway, so cursing at them won’t help. You're not allowed to swear in there. Truth is, there is no gain or benefit by doing this, it's just it gives the player a different batch in the deck and an alternative chance of winning the next few hands.

 

Never Go “All In” before Seeing the Flop

Never bet or raise extensively until you get an idea of what kind of cards are going to be spat out by the blonde mute sitting center face. I've lost at tables where players know each other and go all in on purpose to get your chips! This is a golden rule in staying afloat in your chip count. It only works one out of five times and the pots you win only double your bet. This is like most hands, unless you beat out several people with shitty hands, and that hardly ever happens.

Getting a Royal Flush

The odds are very slim to get a royal flush in poker. On Zynga it’s the same. I've played my 12,000th hand today and got it. Club flush. Don't be picky for a suit, it comes when it does. Have fun and be patient when playing this game, it's all about the thrill of winning.
